WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-2nd) issued the following statement on Facebook Aug. 28 supporting federal aid to Texas following devastation produced by Hurricane Harvey:
“Devastation in Houston area from Harvey will require federal money to recover and rebuild. Sandy victims in New Jersey/New York know too well challenges ahead.
“Despite my Texas colleagues’ refusal to support aid in South Jersey’s time of need, I will support emergency disaster aid for those impacted. Disasters and emergencies are just that…disasters and emergencies. We must stand together as Americans, not be hypocritical based on geography.”
