Lack of Volunteers Leads to Loss of Host for Italian-American Festival

By Rachel Rogish

NORTH WILDWOOD – In a letter dated Oct. 31, Grand Knight Joseph R. Rogowski, Jr., informed North Wildwood City Council of his retirement as chairman of the Knights of Columbus Council 2572. Rogowski said the Knights Council also decided to cease hosting the city’s Italian-American festival.
The reason for no longer hosting the event is based upon a lack of volunteers, according to the letter. Rogowski is retiring due to medical issues, but wishes the city “continued growth and success in the future.”
