Just a Training Exercise

By Jack Fichter

CAPE MAY — Motorists who saw two Cape May police officers with a bloodhound on Elmira Street about 7 a.m. today near the salt marsh along Park Boulevard may have expected the worst.
At 8:30 a.m., flares were in the intersection of Park Boulevard and Leaming Avenue and fire police were directing traffic.
Cape May County Sheriff John F. Callinan told the Herald the operation was a training exercise.
