Joint-Information System Would Address Flooding

PETERSBURG – Upper Township Engineer, Paul Dietrich, briefed Committee members at their regular meeting Dec. 18 about an initiative he is working on to implement a multi-jurisdictional public information system. The information gathered would relate to flooding concerns, updates, and solutions. 
“We’re reaching out to potentially interested parties, including insurance agencies and South Jersey Gas. This flooding network would be the most extensive in the U.S. if approved. We’ll be applying to FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) to get this approval and keep committee apprised.”
