Gillian Victorious in Ocean City Mayoral Race

OCEAN CITY — Jay A. Gillian won the mayor’s seat for the next four years on May 11.
Gillian received 2,687 votes, or about 63 percent of the unofficial tally compiled by the Cape May County Clerk’s Office as of 9 p.m.
Challenger Michael Hinchman received 1,583 votes, or about 37 percent of the total.
For three council at large seats, apparent winners were Michael J. Allegretto with 2,286 votes, Marvin Scott Ping with 1,778 votes and Keith P. Hartzell with 2,163.
Others were Francis J. McCall 1,764, Vincent L. Iannace 829, Peter Guinosso 1,349, James H. Tweed 1,398.
