Fire Set at Caldwell Park in Another Act of Vandalism

UT Logo

By Camille Sailer

PETERSBURG – At the Aug. 8 municipal governing body meeting, Upper Township Committee member Kim Hayes said that additional vandalism had occurred at what seems to be a continuing series of incidents at Caldwell Park.
“On Aug. 1, there was a deliberate fire setting at Caldwell Park, on Stagecoach Road,” she told committee members. “We need more surveillance there and are looking at ways to get more equipment and at a lower cost.
“We also will be looking to organize more late-hour activities for township youth, so that they can make better choices and have alternatives to this type of vandalism because of nothing to do.”
