WILDWOOD CREST – The Borough of Wildwood Crest commissioners approved two resolutions that awarded a professional service contract to Mott MacDonald for coastal engineering services and a general engineering contract to DeBlasio Associates at the July 19 meeting.
Tax Bills
Borough Administrator Constance Mahon related that the quarterly tax bills were to be mailed July 21; she added that anyone who wishes to find out their tax amount in advance may check the borough website to search for their information.
Road Project
Mahon also informed attendees that the Pacific Avenue project is nearly complete for the summer; some work has yet to be finished but is scheduled to end by next week.
School Generator Off
Mayor Carl Groon announced that the school emergency generator project will not be implemented.
Groon explained that because of changes that would be required to the facility to accommodate the generator and the high cost of the generator itself, this project was deemed impractical.
National Night Out
The Wildwood Crest “National Night Out” will be held on Aug. 1 at Centennial Park. The police will host a K-9 demonstration, a dunk tank, hot dogs and seeks to arrange for a mounted officer to be present.
