WILDWOOD CREST – Safety comes first, according to Borough Commissioners, especially the safety of school children. Commissioners passed a resolution Dec. 11, approving “traffic calming” plans for the area around Sunset Lake. With increased vehicle and bicycle traffic during the summer, pedestrian safety concerns have increased.
Borough Engineer Marc DeBlasio prepared schematics for the plan http://bit.ly/2SfATvU, showing signage for decreased speeds and kayak crossing areas along Bayview Drive. Speed limits will be reduced to 20 miles per hour. Commissioners agree that these measures will help ensure safety.
