County Hosts Sixth Annual Transportation Infrastructure Conference

By Herald Staff

The county freeholders will host the sixth annual Transportation Infrastructure Conference Feb. 23, 2010 beginning at 10 a.m. at the County Administration Building.
The transportation conference will identify and highlight the multitude of efforts being made by officials and professionals to ensure vital projects to Cape May County and the region appropriately and expeditiously move forward.
The conference will focus on significant issues such as the county’s plans for the Beesley’s Point Bridge, the Garden State Parkway improvements, and proposed transportation projects in the region.
“As Chairman of the South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization, I am especially focused on ensuring that we recognize the critical elements of our regional transportation infrastructure. Convenience and safety of travel is absolutely essential in protecting and enhancing our quality of every day life – as well as keeping our economy strong, now and well into the future,” said Freeholder Director Dan Beyel.
The County sponsors free conferences throughout the year in an effort to bring information on various and diverse topics to the residents of Cape May County. For information on upcoming conferences and events visit the Web site at capemaycountygov.net
