County Arts Groups To Get State Grants

CREST HAVEN – Fourteen arts groups in Cape May County will receive varying grant amounts totaling $57,000 as a result of freeholder action Dec. 22. The county received proposals June 5, 2015 for competitive contracting for the Department of Culture and Heritage funded by the N.J. State Council on the Arts.
Funds will be disbursed by the county treasurer to the following:
American Eagle Tai Chi Club, $800; Avalon Performing Arts Council, $6,000; Cape May Film Society, $6,000; Cape Shore Chorale, $2,150; Cape Shore Chorus Sweet Adelines, $2,150; First Night Ocean City, $4,200; Friends of Ocean City Pops, $3,300; Greater Ocean City Theatre Company, $6,000; Historic Cold Spring Village, $3,000; Jersey Shore Pops, $6,000; John Walter Cape Community Band, $1,400; Masterworks Choir, $5,000; Ocean City Arts Center, $6,000; Ocean City Fine Arts League, $5,000.
