WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-2nd) issued a statement following the April 2 attack on the U.S. Capitol, which left a Capitol police officer dead: 

“Our hearts go out to the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) force and the family and loved ones of the officer who lost their life today. The USCP put their lives on the line every single day in defense of this nation, and while we still do not have all of our questions answered, these senseless acts of violence have no place in our society.
