WILDWOOD – According to City Engineer Jim Oris, Wildwood has “no choice” but to take action against the contractor responsible for completing the water tower improvement project.
Oris informed City Commissioners that the contractor “exceeded” the project’s timeline, and has not returned to the site after Jan. 1. Courtesy emails have been sent, but no reply has come, as of Jan. 10.
Oris said the bond agency would be notified; the bond agency can “force” the contractor to finish painting the tank at Garfield Avenue. The remaining water tanks are complete.
