PETERSBURG – Upper Township administration stated at the Sept. 10 township committee meeting that it plans to pay more attention to Caldwell Park. Residents have remarked that it receives significantly less care than the higher-profile Amanda’s Field. “I was really disheartened when I went there recently. It’s not the problem of our Public Works staff, we simply have so much to do,” said Committee member Hobart Young. “But we’re going to start fixing things up at the playground including fencing, improve the press box at the football field, and make the park a better place to visit and use,” he continued. Business Administrator Scott Morgan added, “Members of the community who frequent the park will see improvement very soon. Admittedly, some of the tasks will require additional planning and budgetary consideration, but will take place.”
