SEA ISLE CITY – During public comment at the April 14 Sea Isle City Council meeting, a resident, from 33rd Street, asked for clarification on Sea Isle’s total beach closure.
“What is the rationale for closing the entire beach? It’s certainly big enough to accommodate social distancing, and especially at this time of year, there are very few people on the beach anyway,” the resident said. “I don’t want to get a summons while I’m surfing, and I’m interested to know when the beaches will reopen.”
City Council responded by stating law enforcement observed that social distancing had not been working and that there was no date as to when the beaches will reopen.
