Atlantic/Cape May Vicinage to Host Consumer Debt Seminar

ATLANTIC CITY – The Atlantic/Cape May Vicinage and South Jersey Legal Services, Inc. will hold a consumer debt seminar April 25 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Court User Resource Center on the first floor of the Atlantic County Civil Courts Building, 1201 Bacharach Blvd., Atlantic City.
According to a release, presenters will offer information on how to manage credit and debt. Topics will include money management, collection and financial planning, and savings.   Attendees will learn ways to get a free credit report, avoid the debt trap and deal with credit card debt and errors on credit reports.
They also will learn about the detriment of a low credit score and will receive important tips for financing a car and signing a contract for services, such as home improvement. Discussions also will address lawsuits credit card payment defaults, how to stop collection calls and how to handle judgments.
