PETERSBURG – During the July 9 Upper Township Committee meeting several committee members voiced concern about traffic safety on Stagecoach Road (CR 662). Committeeman Hobart Young said “While the posted speed limit is 35 mph cars are speeding well beyond that level, especially between 7 and 9 a.m.” In addition, there is only a small section for legal passing.
He suggested either extending the passing zone or eliminating the entire passing zone. Committee agreed to draft a letter to county officials indicating the township’s concerns and suggestions. In July 2017, the committee also passed a resolution supporting a “reduced speed limit” along Stagecoach Road.
