OCEAN CITY – A former Ocean City lifeguard has been awarded $127,998 in his age discrimination suit against the city July 27, NJ.com reports.
Paul McCracken, of Linwood, sued after being fired on June 27, 2011 when he failed a swim test by three seconds. McCracken was 52 at the time.
In an email to NJ.com, an Ocean City spokesman stated that the city disputed the jury’s decision and is evaluating its options.
