Woman Pulled Unconscious from Burning House Dies

COURT HOUSE — The 71 year old woman pulled unconscious from her burning home on Aug 28 has died according to the Press of Atlantic City. The woman they identify as Patricia Ann Camp died on Saturday.
Firefighters from Middle Township Station 70 responded to a structure fire at 9 West Atlantic Ave. after receiving a 9-1-1 call on Friday, Aug. 28 at approximately 12:24 p.m.
According to a release, police forced entry into the home and the lone 72-year-old female resident was removed by firefighters. She was then transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for treatment due to being unconscious.
Early reports suggested a lightning strike may have ignited the blaze, but police said the cause of the fire was unknown and remains under investigation by Middle Township police as well as the county Prosecutor’s Office and county Fire Marshal.
