Officials Investigate Wildwood Car Fire

WILDWOOD – Engine Company 38, under the command of Captain Sacco, responded to a reported vehicle fire in the 200 block East Maple Avenue July 27 at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a mini-van parked in a parking lot adjacent to a three-story wood frame structure with heavy fire in the engine compartment. Fire did extend into the passenger compartment of the vehicle but fire was kept from extending to the structure.
The fire appears accidental, and is being investigated by the Wildwood City Fire Department.
