Green Creek Man, Dogs Displaced by Fire

GREEN CREEK — Middle Township police responded to a structure fire at 313 Ridge Road on Saturday, Feb. 28 at approximately 3:29 a.m.
According to a release, the interior of the attached garage to the residence was engulfed in flames when police arrived on scene.
The only occupant of the residence, Robert Porter reports that he woke to the smell of something burning and found his garage on fire.
Porter and his three dogs escaped the residence unharmed. Porter is staying with a neighbor until repairs can be made to his residence.
The Green Creek Fire Department, Rio Grande Fire Department, Lower Township Fire Department and the Court House Rescue Squad responded to the scene.
The incident is under investiagtion by the Cape May County Fire Marshalls Office, Patrolman Armondo Jones and Detective Clint Stocker.
