Bald Eagles Spotted at County Airport

By Herald Staff

ERMA — Two eagles landed, bathed in melted snow, spread wings, and headed skyward on Monday, March 1.
The pair of eagles, the national symbol, was spotted by Debbie J. Hudson of Green Creek as she traveled past the airport.
An avid nature photographer, Hudson spotted the majestic white-headed birds with some old military-type aircraft in the background. She snapped some photos, but felt impressed when the eagle took off and she saw the huge American flag on the hangar of the airport.
The second eagle was out of camera range, not near the one Hudson photographed.
