Woman Found Sleeping on Sofa, Charged with Unauthorized Entry

STONE HARBOR – A homeowner on the 100 Block of 90th Street located a woman sleeping on his sofa Wednesday, July 2 at approximately 7:00 a.m. After a brief interaction, the woman left the residence. At approximately 8:30 a.m., the homeowner discovered a purse left behind in the living room and then notified the police.
The woman was identified by the Stone Harbor Police as Kaitlin Simmer and Simmer later arrived at the police station to retrieve her purse.
Simmer was charged on a criminal summons, fourth degree crime, for unauthorized entry into a dwelling. This matter is pending review by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
