According to a release, during the encounter, Gaun provided officers with false information concerning his identity and gave the name of a subject who had an active warrant for his arrest.
Upon being taken into custody, Gaun advised that he had lied about his identity and he proceeded to give officers his real name. At that time it was learned that Guan was a fugitive out of the state of Pennsylvania.
Gaun was charged with hindering apprehension and fugitive from justice.
He was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Facility pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
