Wildwood Police Charge Man with Dealing Drugs Near School

WILDWOOD — Wildwood police arrested an alleged drug dealer near a local Catholic elementary school.
On Thursday April 16 at approximately 11:51 p.m., Patrolman John Ribera of the Wildwood Police Department handled a suspicious person/controlled dangerous substance investigation in the area of the 100 block of East Wildwood Avenue.
Subsequent to this investigation a subject, later identified as a Erik N. Slotkin, 40, of the 200 block of East Lincoln Avenue, was arrested for an active warrant issued by the Cinnaminson, Municipal Court.
As a result, Slotkin was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance He was additionally charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession with the Intent to Distribute, Possession within 500 feet of the Tot Lot playground, possession within 1,000 feet of Saint Ann’s Regional School, hindering apprehension and possession of marijuana under 50 grams.
Slotkin was lodged in county jail in lieu of $100,000 bail set by David DeWeese.
According to the state Department of Corrections, Slotkin served time in state prison on drug and parole violation charges from Aug. 16, 2002 to March 30, 2004 and from July 24, 2007 to Feb. 29, 2008.
