WILDWOOD – A man was arrested in Wildwood Aug. 14 after complaints of an “individual peering into the accessible windows” of residences.
The incidents were reported between the hours of midnight and 2 a.m., according to a press release put out by the Wildwood Police Department.
Police conducted an extensive search of the area in response to the complaints but were unable to find the culprit right away. They were given a physical description of the perpetrator, including descriptions of the person’s clothing, the direction they were headed and a partial identification of the suspect’s vehicle.
The suspect in both incidents was Jose Lopez-Feliciana, of Hopewell, Virginia. He was arrested after Wildwood police stopped a vehicle that matched eyewitness reports. Evidence that connected him to the prior night’s incidents was found in his vehicle.
Lopez-Feliciana was charged with two fourth-degree counts of “peering into dwelling and places.”
Any charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
