SOUTH DENNIS – The Herald received reports of vehicle break-ins in the area of Gravel Hole Road in South Dennis overnight Dec. 3.
Woodbine State Police Station confirmed “a number of car break-ins over the weekend.”
“Some good advice to always remind and remember is to keep all valuables out of vehicles, lock vehicle doors and try to park in a well-lit area,” stated Woodbine Station Commander Lt. Doug Pearson in an email to the Herald. “Motion sensor lights are also a good idea.
“A ‘clean looking’ interior of a vehicle as seen from the outside may prevent someone from going in it if it doesn’t look like anything might be in there. Of course, house, shed, garage doors should be locked and valuables, expensive jewelry, etc. should be in a safe deposit box or well secured in the residence. There are very inexpensive, yet good monitoring devices out there that are easy to install.”
Residents can report suspicious activity to Woodbine State Police Station by calling 609-861-5698.
