VILLAS — Lower Township police concluded an investigation on Aug. 2, into the alleged aggravated sexual assault of a 13-year-old female by a 25-year-old male.
The victim reported the crime to police, and indicated that it had occurred approximately four weeks prior, about the beginning of July.
Arrested was Edward A. Butler 4th, of the 100 block West St. Johns Avenue here. He was charged with aggravated sexual assault.
Butler was arrested at Lower Township Police Department headquarters on Aug. 2 in the early morning hours. He was processed and transferred to county jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.
If convicted, Butler faces from 10 to 20 years in prison.
