COURT HOUSE – Robert D. Schiavo, 20, of Beechwood Avenue, Villas was indicted on six counts of burglary, third degree, three counts of theft, third degree, and two counts of conspiracy, third degree. The incidents leading to the charges ranged from a burglary and theft on June 23, 2014 to a similar incident on Sept. 20, 2014.
Michael Orr, 20, of Village Road, Villas was indicted on two counts of conspiracy, third degree, related to two of the burglaries.
On June 23, 2014 Schiavo allegedly entered the dwelling and took movable property valued in excess of $500. One month later, on July 22, Schiavo is accused of entering another dwelling and taking property valued in excess of $500. Then four days later, on July 26, the indictment claims that Schiavo conspired with Orr and entered another home.
On Sept. 19, it is alleged that the two again conspired to commit burglary and Schiavo entered another home. Less than a week later, Sept. 26, the indictment states Schiavo entered another structure, “for the purposes of committing theft.”
Finally the indictment charges that Schiavo and Orr conspired to commit burglary and Schiavo, Sept. 20 entered yet another home and took movable property in excess of $500.
Michael P. Hagan was indicted for conspiracy, third degree, possession with intent to distribute, third degree, possession with intent to distribute with 1,000 feet of school property, third degree, and within 500 feet of public property, second degree. Jennifer Romano was indicted for conspiracy, third degree.
The incident took place near Glenwood Avenue School and close to Fountain Park in Wildwood. The drug in question was heroin, a Schedule I substance, less than one-half ounce.
Also in Wildwood, Gwen M. Thompson, 52, of Wildwood Crest and Jarmel Smith were indicted for possession of a controlled dangerous substance, cocaine, third degree, and distribution, third degree. Thompson was charged with hindering apprehension, third degree, for attempts to conceal, tamper with, or destroy evidence. The incident occurred March 11 in Wildwood.
Mary K. Betts was indicted for burglary, third degree, theft, third degree, unlawful use of a credit card, third degree, and unlawful theft of a credit card, third degree. On Nov. 2, 2014, Betts allegedly entered a Ford 150 belonging to another person and took the owner’s American Express card. The indictment alleges, “knowing the card had been lost or stolen” she used the card for purchases at a pharmacy.
Angelo T. Mazza, 65, of Green Creek was indicted for aggravated assault, second degree, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, third degree and terroristic threats, third degree. Mazza allegedly attempted to cause serious bodily injury to another man. Mazza is also charged with possession of a knife and with threatening to stab the victim. The incident occurred Oct. 29, 2014.
The individuals are only charged with the offenses and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
