Marmora— State Police were called to a disturbance here on Stagecoach road on Saturday, July 25, at around 1:15 a.m. While troopers were en-route from the Woodbine station an unidentified 15-year-old Atlantic City teenager fired shots into the ground from a nine millimeter semi-automatic hand gun. He and three friends then fled in a Jeep Liberty, according to reports.
The Jeep proceeded to the parkway where a trooper on a car stop was allegedly almost hit by the fleeing vehicle, according to reports. That trooper pulled the vehicle over. The driver, Kara Lindquist, 19, of Upper Township, was charged with reckless driving, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and driving under the influence. Her blood-alcohol content registered at 0.02, but she was charged because she is underage. The male who fired the shots was taken into custody and lodged in the Cumberland County Juvenile Detention Center on weapons charges. The handgun was subsequently recovered from the Jeep.
Another 15-year-old boy and 19-year-old woman, both of Atlantic City, also riding in the Jeep were released without being charged for any offenses, according to police.
