By Herald Staff

WHITESBORO — Middle Township police arrested two 19-year-old men for attempting to rob another 19-year-old with a BB gun.
On Thursday, Feb. 26 at approx. 9:16 p.m., a 19-year-old male resident of Whitesboro was confronted by two
other male subjects who were in a red car on Pennsylvania Avenue.
According to police, the subjects pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded money. The victim fled on foot back to his home and called police and the suspects left the scene in an older model red car.
Police in an unmarked unit later observed a vehicle fitting the description on Route 9 and notified marked patrol units who observed the red vehicle in Whitesboro.
The suspect vehicle then quickly turned off of the road onto Wildwood Avenue and into a driveway of a private residence where police confronted them.
Corleon Riley, 19, of Wildwood, and Ryan Burton, 19, of Court House, were detained after a CO2 powered BB pistol was found in the car.
The victim positively identified both men as being the ones who attempted to rob him earlier.
Both suspects were taken into custody and placed in county jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. The incident is being investigated by Patrolman Martin Lindholm and Detective Kenneth Martin.
