STONE HARBOR – While on routine foot patrol Aug. 9 at 2:46 a.m., Special Law Enforcement Officer II Zoltan Garay observed a female, now known as Alexis M. Javardian, 24, of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., urinating in the Water Tower parking lot on the 200 block of 95th Street. As the officer approached, Javardian dressed and started running west on the 200 block of 96th Street. Javardian stopped running when her friends yelled at her to stop running from the police.
Javardian was subsequently arrested for obstruction. At the station, a white powder was discovered believed to be cocaine. She was charged with a local ordinance for urinating in public, obstruction, drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a crime of the third degree. The case was assisted by Officer Richard Boyle. Javardian was released on summonses and the case is pending review by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
