Motorcyclist Airlifted, Charged After Accident

COLD SPRING –– An man was charged with drunk and careless driving and airlifted from the scene of a motorcycle accident here this past weekend.
At approximately 10 p.m. on May 17, Lower Township police responded to a reported motorcycle crash at Jonathan Hoffman and Seashore roads where they found Robert Worth, of Oakridge, lying in the road unconscious, unresponsive and bleeding.
Worth, 34, was airlifted to AtlatiCare Regional Medical Center where his condition was listed as critical but stable.
Police investigation revealed that Worth was traveling northbound on Jonathan Hoffman Road when his motorcycle hit a curb and he was ejected.
Worth was charged with careless driving and DUI. According to police, further investigation is pending toxicology reports.
The accident is under investigation by Officer Jennifer Anzelone and the county Accident Investigative Team.
