FISHING CREEK – Lower Township Detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop on Fishing Creek Road in the Fishing Creek section of Lower Township July 8 at approximately 11:05 a.m.
While investigating the stop it was discovered that the front passenger of the vehicle, Alexis E. Walkowitz, 19, of North Cape May, was found to be in possession of controlled dangerous substances, specifically heroin and marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia.
Walkowitz was arrested on scene and transported to police headquarters where she was processed and charged with possession of heroin, a third degree crime, possession of marijuana under 50 grams, a disorderly persons offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a disorderly persons offense. She was additionally charged on a motor vehicle summons with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. The driver, Tyrez J. Jones, 21, of Court House, was also charged with a motor vehicle summons with improper display of plates.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
