Man Faces Alleged Knife Threat

This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
WILDWOOD CREST – Wildwood Crest Police were called to the 300 block East Topeka Avenue for a disturbance inside of a residence July 10 at 6:27 p.m.
Upon arriving, Patrol Officer James Collins and Class II Officer Crystin Edwards were confronted by a male subject identified as Victor Sabella, 23, of Wildwood Crest, according to a release.
Sabella was displaying an aggressive behavior. As officers spoke to him, he retrieved a large kitchen knife and threatened the officers. The officers were able to get Sabella to drop the knife and take him into custody.
Sabella was arrested and charged with terroristic threats, possession of a weapon, and unlawful possession of a weapon. Sabella was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center for an evaluation and then lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
No one was injured during the altercation.  
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
