WILDWOOD CREST – A female reported a domestic violence incident to police Oct. 27. The female informed police that she was held against her will and was physically and sexually assaulted during that time.
The investigation revealed that the female sustained significant injury and was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for treatment. During the investigation evidence was collected that led to the arrest of Robert Myles, 55, of Wildwood Crest. He was charged with criminal restraint, sexual assault, aggravated assault, and terroristic threats.
Myles allegedly held the woman against her will at a residence in Wildwood Crest, assaulting her during that time. An arrest warrant was issued for Myles on Oct. 27. He remained at large before turning himself in to police on Oct. 29.
Myles was charged and bail was set at $150,000. He is being lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
The female remained hospitalized for her injuries at the time of this release.
