ERMA — Lower Township Police Officers arrested three (3) persons over the weekend as a result of separate domestic violence incidents.
The first incident was on Friday, April 3 at approximately 6:50 p.m., the Lower Township Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from a frantic female in the 600 Block of East Tampa Avenue in the Villas Section of Lower Township stating, “Get here fast, he’s bleeding.” Investigation on scene determined that the female’s ex-boyfriend whom she has a Final Restraining Order against, identified as Christian Larsen, 39 of the 600 Block of Crawford Road, Erma came to her residence and threatened another male at the residence. During the confrontation with the adult male in the residence Larsen sustained a cut above his left eye which was bleeding profusely. Larsen then fled the area on foot prior to police arrival. Lower Township Police Officers then requested K-9 Officers with search dogs from the Cape May County Sheriffs Department, in an attempt to locate Larsen with negative results. Lower Township Police Officers then issued an arrest warrant for Larsen charging him with Contempt of Court for violation of a Final Restraining Order. At approximately 6 a.m. Saturday morning, Larsen was located by the Wildwood Police Department and subsequently lodged in the Cape May County Jail on the arrest warrant. The incident was investigated by Patrolman Michael Perry.
In the second incident, a father and son were involved in a physical altercation in the 100 Block of West Jacksonville Avenue in the Villas Section of Lower Township. As a result of that investigation, the father, Francis Mulholland, 42, signed a simple assault charge against his son Shawn Mulholland, age 20 years old. The son, Shawn Mulholland then requested a Temporary Restraining Order be issued against his father. Francis Mulholland was then served with a no contact temporary restraining order, while Shawn MuIholland was released on a summons for a charge of Simple Assault against his father. That incident was investigated by Patrolman Brian McEwing.
In the third Domestic Violence Incident, on Sunday, April 5111, at approximately 8 p.m. the Lower Township Police Department received a phone call from a female in the 500 Block of Shunpike Road in the Erma Section of Lower Township, stating that her ex-husband came to her residence and threatened to stab or shoot her during an argument. The female then requested a restraining order be issued. Lower Township Police Officers received permission to issue an order against the actor identified as James M. Carr, 49, of the 500 Block of Shunpike Road, Erma. Carr was also charged with terroristic threats. He was arrested by Patrolman Michael Perry and subsequently lodged in the county jail on $15,000 cash bail.
