Investigation Leads to Drug Bust

WEST CAPE MAY — On Jan. 31, Cape May police with assistance from the county SWAT Team and the Sheriffs Department K-9 unit executed a search warrant at a residence on 6th Avenue in West Cape May.
A cooperative investigation between the Cape May police and the county Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force 1ed to the search warrant and the arrest of three individuas.
Police seized a quantity of Cocaine,. Xanax tablets and Marijuana at the residence.
Arrested at the scene were Pedro Blackshear, 39, Barbara Matthews, 52, and Mary Chapman, 40, all residents of West Cape May.
Blackshear was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of prescription drugs and possession with intent to distribute in a school zone. He was committed to county jail in lieu of $25,000.
Matthews was charged with possession of cocaine and committed to county jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.
Chapman was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine.
Detective Victor DeMusz led the investigation.
