Indictments Filed March 5

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 10 indictments March 5.
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.
The individuals listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Thomas J. Solenski
Thomas Solenski was named in two separate indictments. An incident in North Wildwood Dec. 12, 2018, resulted in an indictment for fourth-degree criminal trespass. The next day, Dec. 13, 2018, Solenski was arrested in Wildwood for possession of amphetamine. That led to the second indictment for third-degree possession of a CDS.
Jeremy Sylvester, Jerardo Marroquin
Jeremy Sylvester and Jerardo Marroquin face a two-count indictment for possession of a CDS, methamphetamine, third degree, and hindering apprehension, fourth degree.
Dawn C. Sneathen
Dawn Sneathen, of Belleplain, was indicted for possession of a CDS, methamphetamine, third degree.
Robinlyn M. Shortell
Robinlyn Shortell, of Wildwood, was indicted for theft and fraudulent use of a credit card, each count in the third degree, along with unlawful theft or receipt of a credit card, fourth degree. The card was used for goods and services on PayPal.
Laureen D. Birmingham
Laureen Birmingham, of Ocean City, was indicted for third-degree theft.
Michael L. Brown
Michael Brown, of North Wildwood, faces an indictment for third-degree burglary related to an incident in December on Spruce Avenue.
Raymond P. Griner
Raymond Griner, 31, of North Wildwood, was indicted on two counts of burglary and one count of theft, each count in the third degree.
Harry J. Ruffenach
Harry Ruffenach was indicted for second-degree unlawful possession of a Smith & Wesson 9 mm handgun.
Shawn P. Harkin
Police reports state that two Lower Township officers responded to a domestic violence incident in October to find Shawn Harkin in violation of a restraining order. The incident resulted in Harkin attempting to flee and engaging with police. Harkin was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer and one count of resisting arrest, each count was in the third degree.
