Indictments Filed July 16

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up nine indictments July 16.
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.
The individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
Matthew M. Britton
Matthew Britton, 27, of Villas, was indicted on a single count of possession of a CDS in the third degree. The drug in question was heroin.
Ricardo F. Gomes
Ricardo Gomes faces a second-degree count for endangering the welfare of a child, along with three third-degree counts for possession of a CDS. The endangerment charge relates to a driving while intoxicated arrest in which a child was in the car. The controlled substances in Gomes’ possession were cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin.
Jeffrey R. Collett
Jeffrey Collett, 37, of Wildwood, was indicted for possession of a CDS, cocaine, and possession with intent to distribute. Both counts were third degree.
David Hughes
David Hughes, of Lower Township, faces a three-count indictment for resisting arrest and aggravated assault on a police officer, each count third degree, along with throwing bodily fluids, fourth degree. 
Emanuel Gonzales-Davila, Jose A. Velez
Emanuel Gonzales-Davila and Jose Velez, both of Wildwood, were indicted jointly for receiving stolen property, theft and burglary, all three counts in the third degree. In addition, Gonzales-Davila faces two more third-degree counts for possession of a CDS, cocaine, and possession with intent to distribute.
Clifford Kellogg
Clifford Kellogg, 31, of Rio Grande, was indicted for second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, along with fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. The weapon was a pair of scissors.
Russell W. Krieg
Russell Krieg faces a second-degree count for endangering the welfare of a child. The incident occurred in Wildwood June 7 and the child in question was 11-years-old. The indictment did not specify the nature of the neglect or abuse. 
Carrie Reinhart
Carrie Reinhart, of Lower Township, was indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS, cocaine.
Jennifer A. Rossett
Jennifer Rossett, of North Cape May, faces two fourth-degree bad check counts and one third-degree count for failure to make required disposition. The indictment states that Rossett presented two checks to a grocery store in Cape May, which she knew the bank would not honor. The checks were for $200 apiece. In addition, the indictment adds that Rossett took money and property of the grocery store, valued at greater than $500, with the understanding she would make a specific payment or other disposition, which was not made.
