Drug Sweep Nets Two from Wildwood

COURT HOUSE — Wildwood police, the county SWAT team and Prosecutor’s Office as well as the federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) recently completed a narcotics investigation that lead to the arrest of two Wildwood residents.
According to a release, the county Regional SWAT team, the Prosecutor’s Guns, Gangs and Narcotics Task Force, Wildwood police and the DEA executed a search warrant at 134 E. Schellenger Ave.
As a result, the following items were seized:
• over an ounce of cocaine
• 3/4 pound of marijuana
• numerous prescription medications
• drug manufacturing and packaging materials
• about $2,500 cash
Richie Candelaria, 31, and Dylene Mendez, 19, both of the above address, were charged with multiple drug offenses. They were lodged in county jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail set by judge David DeWeese.
