Crest Police Nab Alleged Soda Machine Thieves

WILDWOOD CREST — Three adults and a juvenile were arrested here Monday, Sept. 28 after a neighbor saw them steal from a soda machine and race off.
At 11:21 p.m., Wildwood Crest police received a report of a theft in progress. The caller stated that she observed a suspect entering a soda machine in front of a business located at Heather and New Jersey avenues. The caller supplied the Wildwood Crest Police with a specific description of two additional suspects and a vehicle used to flee the scene.
Officer Daniel Inglis, who was patrolling nearby, was able to quickly stop the vehicle in question due to the caller’s prompt reporting. With the assistance of Wlldwood police, Ingils and Sgt. Joseph McGrath arrested four suspects from the vehicle.
A large quantity single dollar bills and change was found in the vehicle. A set of master keys, used to open the soda machine, was also found in the suspect’s possession.
Police charged all four suspects — Tara L Crunetti, 27, of Mlllville, Eugene Sterling, 31, of Millville, Michael Crunetti, 30, of Millville, and a 15-year-old juvenile, of Woodbine — with theft of moveable property, a fourth-degree crime, and possession of burglary tools, a disorderly persons offense. Tara Crunetti was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
The three adults were held under $2,500 bail each. The juvenile was released to the Division of Youth and Family Services.
