Cape May Police Arrest Three for Graffiti

CAPE MAY — On Friday, January 29, arrests were made concerning multiple acts of graffiti in Cape May City, West Cape May and Cape May Point.
According to police, the majority of the spray-painting incidents occurred during the second week in January. The former Shelton College building in Cape May was targeted along with the West Cape Motel, numerous street signs and other property belonging to the Borough of West Cape May. In addition, several residences in West Cape May were damaged.
The investigation led detectives to the arrest of Micah V. Lamb, 18, of West Cape May and George J. Marcelis Jr., 18, of Villas, and one 17-year-old juvenile age was also taken into custody.
Lamb and Marcelis were charged with multiple counts of Criminal Mischief and one count Defiant Trespass. Lamb was released after posting $15,000 bail and Marcelis was committed to county jail in lieu of $15,000 bail. The juvenile was released pending a hearing in Family Division of the county court .
