NORTH WILDWOOD — A month-long investigation into cocaine distribution here ended July 19 after a search warrant was executed in the 100 block West 24th avenue.
That search resulted in the seizure of 4.5 ounces of suspected crack cocaine worth $12,600, and about $450 in cash. The suspect, Jermaine Milbourne remains at large, and authorities ask the public’s help in locating him.
According to a joint press release from County Prosecutor Robert Taylor and city Police Chief Robert Matteucci, at about 9:30 p.m. on July 19, personnel from the county Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force, N.J. State Division of Criminal Justice Gang and Organized Crime Unit, North Wildwood Police Department and Cape May County Regional SWAT Team executed a search warrant at the above location.
Marijuana under 50 grams and drug paraphernalia were also seized. A forfeiture action will be filed against the U.S. currency as proceeds from the illegal distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, according to the release.
As a result of the drug seizure, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Jermaine Milbourne, 31, of the 100 block West 24th avenue, North Wildwood.
He was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute in an amount over one-half ounce, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school zone, possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Milbourne has not been apprehended as of this time.
He is described as a black male, 31, 6-feet, tall, 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes with a scar on the left elbow and a birthmark on his left cheek.
He previously lived in Millville.
