Avalon Police Thwart Home Invader

AVALON — In the early morning hours of Monday, May 18 Avalon Police Department received a call to the west block of 13th Street for a possible break into a nearby house.
Upon their arrival, officers Frank Hood and Timothy Beal witnessed Patrick Walsh, 20, of Egg Harbor Township breaking the windows of a home in the area.
Officers reported that when they arrived Walsh was using a small metal table he removed from the deck to break two sliding glass doors as well as two smaller windows of the house.
Officers were able to arrest him without incident.
Further investigation revealed that Walsh had an outstanding warrant for $250 out of Ocean City.
Officers charged Walsh with Criminal Trespass, Criminal Attempt and Criminal Mischief.
Walsh was transported to the Cape May County Jail and lodge on $10,250 cash bail.
