Arrest Mt. Laurel Man for Attempted Burglary, Mischief

OCEAN CITY — The Ocean City Police Department responded on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 5:11 p.m. to a complaint of a suspicious person in the area of 24th and Asbury Avenue.
The witness said that the accused was attempting to break into her home by forcibly damaging windows and doors of the residence. The witness fled the home and went to a nearby relative’s house to call police.
When the police arrived on the scene, they found Christopher T. Meehan, 20, of Mount Laurel allegedly attempting to flee the area.
Police arrested Meehan and charged him with criminal attempt burglary and criminal mischief.
Judge Richard Russell (JMC) issued a warrant in the amount of $25,000 full cash bail. Meehan was remanded to county jail.
Investigating the incident were Sgt. Dave Hall and Patrolman Brian Teeney and Patrolman Karl Ruf.
