1 Injured in Edgewood Shooting Incident

EDGEWOOD – The Middle Township Police Department’s Patrol Division was dispatched Dec. 18, at approximately 1 a.m., to the 300 block of Bayview Road, in Edgewood, for reports of shots fired in the area.
According to a release, upon arrival, they found shell casings in the roadway, along with other items of interest. They also made contact with Jahquees Johnson, 20, of Whitesboro, who had a single gunshot wound to the hip. Johnson was transported to the Atlantic City Medical Center Trauma Division for treatment.
As of Dec. 18, the incident remained under investigation by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and the Middle Township Police Department’s Patrol Division and Major Crimes Unit.
