The Annual Sea Isle City Baby Parade, one of the resort’s long-standing summer traditions, will take place on Thursday, July 17 (rain date: July 18), on the town’s promenade from 34th to 44th Street.
This year’s parade, which will begin at 10 a.m., has been changed from an evening to a morning event.
The 2008 Baby Parade is sponsored by the Sea Isle City Department of Community Services, Di-vision of Tourism. It will feature live music by “Stars and Stripes,” floats, children in creative cos-tumes and a bevy of beautiful babies.
Judging will take place in eight divisions, including Most Attractive Boy and Most Attractive Girl, as well as walking, riding and float divisions.
Participants wearing costumes are advised to “pick their own theme,” and are encouraged to al-low their creativity to shine through.
Prizes will be awarded at the main viewing area, JFK Boulevard and the Promenade, but specta-tors will enjoy the view all along the parade route.
Parade participants must be under age 13 and must fill out a registration form, which is avail-able at City Hall, 4416 Landis Avenue; The Beach Tag Office, 125 JFK Boulevard; and the Recrea-tion Service Building, 6108 Central Avenue.
