Avalon Parking Times

By Megan Gillin-Schwartz

AVALON — Proof voicing an opinion can ignite change, council passed an ordinance July 25 amending the scheduled parking times on certain highly trafficked areas of the downtown area. Residents suggested the change during a public comment portion of a regular meeting earlier this month. In accordance with the new ordinance, portions of Dune Drive, 32nd Street, and 21st Street will offer unlimited parking on Sundays. Council took action to see that the ordinance go into effect immediately.
