Air Force Band takes flight in OC

The 50-member Air Force Concert Band of Liberty will perform at the Ocean City Tabernacle, Fifth and Wesley avenues, Friday, Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. and it’s free!
The Air Force Concert Band of Liberty has developed a proud tradition of excellence throughout the Northeastern United States. It is the largest component of the United States Air Force Band of Liberty, which includes smaller ensembles.
The Concert Band presents a program of traditional, contemporary and popular band music in cities throughout the Northeast and at music conferences and symposiums.
It is conducted by First Lieutenant David A. Alpar and includes sections of flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, saxophone, French horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion plus piano/keyboard, guitar, bass and a vocalist.
Free tickets may be picked up at the Tabernacle or City Hall Annex, 901 Asbury Ave.
Annex Hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call 609-525-9300. Tabernacle hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and during Sunday services. Call 609-399-1915.
