Woman Charged with DWI, Careless Driving

WILDWOOD CREST – April 15, 2012 at 7:43 p.m., Wildwood Crest Police were called to the area of Syracuse and New Jersey Ave. for a reported motor vehicle accident.
Upon arriving, officers found a gold colored Jeep Grand Cherokee upside down in the roadway. Further investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle, Kimberly Shelfler, was travelling north on New Jersey Ave. when she allegedly struck a parked vehicle in the 8400 block of New Jersey Ave., causing her vehicle to flip and land on its top.
Sheffier was charged with careless driving and driving while intoxicated. She was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center by Wildwood Crest Rescue, where she was treated and released. No other injuries were reported at the time of the accident.
The accident is being investigated by P/0 Christopher Webb.
